Animal Oracles: Rebirth

January 10th, 2012

The New Year brings us Bat. Bat symbolizes Rebirth - this is a total Rebirth as in - Death, Change & Transformation. To become a Shaman of a tribe you had to let go of your old patterns of reactions and responses, you had to let go of your ego and come to a place of true humility.  Some tribes would bury the Shaman initiate up to their neck in the middle of the village and hurl insults until he/she came to that place of total surrender of their ego. This is the teaching “I am that”, when one no longer responds with anger, fear or jealousy but only with love at all that comes to us.

We are being asked to let go of old patterns of behaviour, of old programs that have been running our lives such as “I am not good enough, smart enough, loveable, worthy”, etc.  We are finished with these as they no longer serve the true presence of who we really are within...God.

Surrender to the beauty of the truth of who you are and know that you are loved beyond comprehension.  You are an individual "I" presence, part of a "We" community, here to serve God, yourself and one another.  Step into that knowledge of who you truly are and live that NOW.

Stop, close your eyes, and feel the presence of love, of God, in your Sacred Heart. Now, open your eyes and shine that love on every person you meet including the one in the mirror.  See everyone as the mirror of your love.

Embrace Bat for the gift of Rebirth so you may start the New Year owning the responsibility of all you create every day in every moment, knowing you can transform whatever no longer serves you by releasing the pain and replacing it with purpose through service, service, service.

Many Blessings for 2012...enjoy the ride!

I learned about the animals and the earth by walking the Native American spiritual path for many years - that is part of my lineage.  If you have a question regarding an animal that has come to you in nature or in a dream, you can email me at sundrmr@yahoo.com and I will help you find the medicine and the teaching it is bringing to you.
